WELCOME

Psychotherapy is a complex but profoundly rewarding process of examining one's life, history, desires, relationships, hopes, and fears in order to open up new possibilities and make new meaning out of one's experience. While our desires change through life, our past experiences may keep us stuck in unhelpful patterns that prevent us from reaching our full potential and living a meaningful, satisfying life. You may find yourself experiencing emotional distress, anxiety, pain, or struggling with a life issue that you have been unable to resolve. You may long for a deeper connection with  yourself or yearn for more satisfying relationships with others. Psychotherapy can provide you the opportunity to learn new ways of responding to problems so that you can create a more satisfying, meaningful and authentic existence.

I welcome the opportunity to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds in my practice. I am the founder and director of the Aguirre Center for Inclusive Psychotherapy, a distinguished group practice focused on providing culturally-responsive care to all, particularly those who hold marginalized identities, including racial/ethnic, gender, and sexual minorities. I have worked extensively with People of Color, including Latinx, African-American, and Asian-American individuals. My practice is sex-positive, trauma-informed, and affirming of folks from LGBTQ, Kink and Poly communities.  I am also a native Spanish-speaker, and I can provide bilingual (Spanish and English) psychotherapy.

I’ve provided information about my practice on this website with the hope of demystifying the therapy process and providing you an introduction to the services I offer. I encourage you to take a look at the pages on this website to see if I might be the right therapist for you. Of course, the best way to gather information about the work we may do and our potential fit is to contact me for a face-to-face meeting.

I welcome the opportunity to discuss your needs together.
